Brown rice is not a separate variant of rice, but rather the difference is that when hulled, brown rice retains the parts which are rich in nutrients (the bran and germ). When preparing the porridge, nothing is added or taken from the rice and thus all the values of the brown rice will be included in the porridge as well. Therefore it is no longer merely a side dish, but rather a fully fledged cereal rich in fiber!
Use: mix the porridge thoroughly with hot water or rice drink. It is ready for consumption after 1-2 minutes. It can be used for natural, vegetable or fruit porridges, to thicken soups and sauces.
